1. Introduce about Hoi An Ancient Town
Hoi An Ancient Town is located in Quang Nam Province, Central Vietnam, on the north bank near the mouth of the Thu Bon River. The property to be credited covers 30 hectares and it has a buffer zone of 280 hectares. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a small-scale trading port that operated in the 15th to 19th centuries, trading extensively, with both Southeast and East Asian countries and with the rest of the world of the world.
Its decline in the late 19th century ensured that it retained its traditional urban size to a considerable extent. The town reflects a mixture of indigenous and foreign cultures (mainly Chinese and Japanese with later European influences) that combine to create this unique existence.
